Senegal (arabic) gum and Seyal gum are natural exudate from the acacia tree. They are obtained by means of incisions made during the dry period from December to April.
Sorted raw gums are dried and transformed in soluble gum by atomisation of their aqueous solution purified by filtration and centrifugation and sterilized by UV radiation.
Depending on the type of gum used and on the conditions of atomisation the final product has different phisical and chemichal properties which make them suitable for many applications in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
